What do Snowmen & Clients Have in Common?

Today while making a snowman with my children, my mind started to wander to Real Estate. I know, jeez, this person must not have a life. Anyway, starting a relationship with a prospective client is like making a snowman. Not only does it take time, patience and energy but also dedication.
As you start to make that first snowball, you gently bring all of the tiny snow flakes together. Like gathering the information of a new client. Where do they want to live? How much can they afford? You then get a feel for what they are looking for. Creating that first "ball" for the base of the snowman.
It's now time to start the second "ball". You're now out and showing those clients homes in the area. Starting small and gathering more information. Visually seeing what your client is interested in. Eventually, you find the perfect home for them and the second "ball" is completed.
Onto the last "ball" for the smallest, but not the least important "ball" of the snowman. Writing the offer and getting the offer accepted. Once again gathering information and presenting it in written form. Wondering if all the pieces will fall together and make the transaction complete. as the offer is accepted the final "ball" is completed.
Now to form the snowman. Passing the inspections, getting the insurance, getting the mortgage, and finally to closing. Placing the balls one on top of the other hoping it will all work out and everything falls into place. Just like making a snowman.
